Services for Norma T. Munn were held Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial was in Mt. Nebo Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 


Mrs. Munn of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Infinity Hospice in Marion. She was known as a loving wife of 67 years to Mr. W.I. Munn Sr., until his passing in 2009. She was also known as a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Munn was a longtime member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, formerly Oakland Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons: W.I. Munn Jr. and his wife Clara of Collinsville, and Rick Munn of Hazelhurst; granddaughters: Stephanie Branson and her husband Josh, Anna Munn Bennett and her husband Kevin, and Shelley Munn; and grandson, Ike Munn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge and Ina Thames; brother, Laverne Thames; and her husband, Winfred I. Munn Sr.

Pallbearers were Wayne Gray, Charlie Smith, Milton Pace, Ted Gambil, Dean Tolbird and Jimmy Robinson.
