William G. Berry
William G. Berry, 71, 317 Confer St., Mill Hall, died Jan. 2, 2004 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Born May 31, 1932 in Mill Hall, he was a son of the late William T. and Zylphia Walker Berry. He was a 1952 graduate of Mill Hall High School and worked for Piper until its closing. He then retired from the State College Area School District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to Camp Confer in Orviston. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra J. Considine of Mill Hall; two brothers, Richard Berry of Chalfont and Ronald Berry of Mill Hall; two sisters, Judith Pursley of Altoona and Pearl Mumbauer of Muncy; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, William T. Berry in February of 1996; brothers Max Berry, Herbert D. Confer Jr. and Carl Confer; and sisters Lois Fetter and Margaret Confer. Private services will be Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Interment will be in Hayes Fearon Cemetery. There will be family visitation only.
