Claude was my Great Grandfather.

Claude was the son of Daisy Glendora Loflin. She was not married when Claude was born. The father is not known. Her parents, Harris and Mary Loflin raised him as their own. He married Gertrude Darnell in Anadarko OK, 1918. They had 3 children, son, James D. Loflin, daughter, Dorothy(Loflin) Howard, both survive. Son, Ralph Loflin, died in 1990.

Claude spent most of his life in Shelbina, Mo, where he worked for over 35 years at the MFA Poultry and Egg division in Shelbina. Claude and Gertrude moved to Georgetown Tx in 1964. Claude was diabetic. He died from insulin shock and a stroke.

One of my favorite memories is of him and I walking to the store in Georgetown and going out to the garden to pick turnips. He also turned me on to cottage cheese with salt and pepper, mmmm! Thanks Grandpa Claude -

Claude is on the right in the first picture, and on the left in the second picture.
