Serviced for John Adolf Besier Sr., 88, of Kerrville, formerly of Fredericksburg who died Wednesday at his home will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Roger Robbins of Kerrville officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville. Viewing will take place at Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg until 6:45 a.m. Saturday. Visitation began a 6 p.m. Thursday.
A vigil service will take place at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Knopp officiating.
Survivors include a son, John Besier Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Leona Garrett of Kerrville; two sisters, Ella Jenschke of Kerrville and Josephine Fritz of Center Point; one brother, Robert Besier of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
