Bessie Whiteside Dunbar was known as a most capable woman and operated the farm successfully after her husbands death. She was a member of the Joslin United Brethren Church. She was favorably known throughout the community.
Funeral services were conducted privately at the home in Zuma Township at 2:00 PM on August 25, 1926, with the Rev. H.M. Walker of Willow Grove, Illinois (former Pastor of the Joslin church), and the Rev. Loren Miller, present pastor, officiating.
