He was born December 4, 1926 at Amity, the son of Grover Massey and Mary Ellen Lambert Massey. He was preceded in death by his parents , his first wife, Glenna Massey; his son, Robert Massey; and three brothers, Earl Massey, Burl Massey and Clint Massey.
He was retired from Industrial Services and was a member of the Mount Joy Free will Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and was considered a great collector of treasures.
Ford is survived by his wife Lamma Massey of Kirby; his children and their spouses, Wayne Massey of Kentucky; Phillip and Cindy O'Neal of Kirby; Kendall and Kim O'Neal of Kirby; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Matt Greke, Brittany and Josh Bair, Bethany Massey, Brandy and Vince Romeo, Jaime and Jamie Johnson, Alicia and Ryan Doty, Stacey and Wade Stewart, Chad and Brittany O'Neal; ten great-grandchildren, his sister, Freda Long of Little Rock and several nieces and nephews.
Interment in Sweet Home Cemetery near Amity.
