SPARTANBURG David "Dave" Ray Dover Sr., 81, of 366 Oak Grove Road, died Dec. 14, 1 veteran of World War II, and a former member of Anderson First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son, Arch Ellison of Columbia; a daughter, Pamela Coleman of North Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Dan McCarley of Shelby, N.C., and Larry McCarley of Anderson; and three sisters, Irene Hicks of Atlanta, Ga., Joan Fleming of Belton and Margaret Keller of Greenville.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson, with burial in Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Allene Gamble, 2501 Poplar Lane, Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emory University, Emory Clinic, Huntington Foundation, 1365 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30307.

SPARTANBURG David "Dave" Ray Dover Sr., 81, of 366 Oak Grove Road, died Dec. 14, 1993, at his home.
He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and retired from Duke Power Co. after 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in India and Burma.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Langley Dover of the home; a son, David R. Dover Jr. of Moore; and two sisters, Ruth Courtney of Kingstree and Wilma Brown of Shelby, N.C.
Cryptside services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Spartanburg.
Visitation will follow the service at the cryptside.
The family is at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, General Fund, 213 Lanford Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29301.
