Professional Baseball Player. Born in Radiant, Virginia, he was an outfielder making his debut for the Washington Senators on April 17, 1927. For two seasons, he played mostly as a pinch hitter and in utility positions with the Washington Senators (1927) and Cleveland Indians (1928). He concluded his career with a record of 6 runs scored, 11 hits, 1 homerun, 11 runs batted in, a .155 batting average and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. He died at age 38 in Radiant, Virginia following surgery for removal of a brain tumor.
