IRIS L. SHUPACK

The funeral services for Iris L. Shupack will be Friday, July 16, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Crawford will officiate. Martin Shupack will give the eulogy. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Iris was born in November 17, 1916 in Perkins, Oklahoma to Harry and Lucetta Davis Albright who were early day settlers of Payne County, and died July 12, 2004 in Enid. She graduated from Perkins High School. After attending Central State College at Edmond one year, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, she went to A&M College (now OSU) and graduated, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with majors in English and Social Studies. She taught one year at Quinton High School (American and English Literature) after which she worked for the United States Corps of Engineers in Tulsa in Hydrology where she helped with planning reservoirs throughout Oklahoma.
Iris married Marty Shupack a well known shoe merchant of Enid, June 9, 1946. The couple made their home in Enid. Marty died July 14, 1986. She was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church and was active in the Women's Association. She was a past member of the Junior Welfare League, the Oakwood Country Club and several bridge clubs.

She is survived by her son Martin Shupack and his wife, Diana of Alexandria VA, her daughter Diane Avery and husband Joe, of Enid, two granddaughters, and two grandsons, of Alexandria VA; and three great-grand children,also one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents two sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Hospice Circle of Love with Henninger-Allen acting as custodians of the fund.
