Services will be Monday at 1.30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Roger Sidener officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Born March 3, 1912 to J. L. and Sophia Moates, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She married William Lee Nixon June 19, 1933 m Lovington, New Mexico. She was former director of RSVP in Mitchell County.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Aubery Moates.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Eddie Lee Nixon of Menard, a sister, Tay Buchanan of Vincent, two brothers, Charlie Moates of Beaumont and Henry Moates of Vincent, and two grandchildren.
