Permelia J. Jones, daughter of Elisha and Eliza Abney, was born June 19, 1864....At the age of four she moved with parents to Calhoun county, Ia. On January 14, 1883, she married William H. Jones at Lohrville, Calhoun county, Ia. They lived there until 1900...they moved to Cherokee county. In 1912, they moved to a farm south of Iroquois. They moved to Huron in 1920,...in 1921 back to Iroquois, where Mr. jones died September 29, 1932.
Mrs. Jones returned to Huron where she died at her home,951 Kansas Ave, southeast, June 22, 1934 at the age of 70 years and 3 days.
She leaves to mourn...six sons, Edward and Arthur of Quincy, Ia., Samuel and Gilbert of Omaha, Floyd of Huron, and Howard of Montana. Fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother...also survive...................

Permelia's son, Floyd, lived with her in the 1930 census.
