William D. Lamb is my g grandfather. He is the son of Joel Lamb (1806) and Eunice Lamb (1810). Joel was son of Albert and Rachel (Newby) Lamb. Eunice was daughter of Joab and Nancy Lamb.

William D. was a brother of David N., Louzena D., Elias M., Nancy J. (Lamb) Lasley/Martin, Eliza Lydia A. (Lamb) Tinder, Martha A., Mary E., Benjamin F., Joseph (1846). Samuel, James, and Monterville Lamb.

He married Mary Elizabeth Case on 2-16-1854, in Hendricks Co., Indiana. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Nathaniel and Lydia (Johnson) Case.

William D. and Mary Elizabeth's children were Joseph, Roda Ann (Lamb) Ruley, Lydia Louzina (Lamb) Merritt, Jane (Lamb) Merritt, Hannah, John, Hannah Serpeta (Lamb) Walters/Abney, Mahallie (Lamb) Merritt, Ola, Alice (Lamb) Alber and Mary Elizabeth Lamb. I would very much like to find my g grandfather's grave site.

Cartersburg - Uncle William Lamb departed this life the 12th inst. of lung trouble, of which he has been a constant sufferer for several months. Funeral services were conducted at Concord church by Rev. Wm. Boyd. After services the remains were taken to Lizton for burial.
