Tony Eugene Bond, 56, Carlisle, passed away Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Tony was born July 30, 1955 to Fred Eugene and Ellen Jane (Garner) Bond in Aniston, AL. He married Sharon Swartzentruber on August 9, 1980. He was a self employed sales consultant. Tony was a very active member of the Oaktown Christian Church, a church elder, deacon, president of the church board, and an active community member.
Tony is survived by his wife, Sharon; his mother, Ellen; his son, Andrew Cain Bond of Oaktown; two daughters, Jacalyn Paige of Oaktown and Natalie Lane of Carlisle; two brothers, Michael Bond and Timothy Bond of Oaktown; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Earl and Ruby Bond, maternal grandparents, Milford and Gladys Garner, father-in-law Pete Swartzendtruber.
Visitation will be held Sunday February 12, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Oaktown Christian Church. Funeral services will be Monday February 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Oaktown Christian Church with Rev Todd Barnhizer officiating and burial following at the Oaktown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oaktown Christian Church.
