James Quill Baker, 82, resident of Sam Allen Road in Plant City, passed away Friday (Dec 8, 1978). Services were held at Wells Colonial Chapel with Rev. A.A. Butner officiating.

Mr. Baker was a native of Thonotosassa and lifetime resident of East Hillsborough County, veteran of WWI, and a retired farmer and citrus grower.

Survived by daughters, Mrs. Ester B. Thomas, Farmington IL, Mrs. Althea Cannon, Plant City, Mrs. Aquilla Kennedy, Thonotosassa; son, Mr. Robert L. Baker, Plant City; sisters, Mrs. Ada Nettles and Mrs. Lovie Collins, both of Plant City; brother Mr. William B. Baker, Plant City; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
