Pleasant Hill Woman Expires
Mrs. Effie Henry who has spent most of her life in the Pleasant Hill community, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Passavant hospital. The 70 year old woman was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon. For the past six months she had been making her home with her three children and most recently with her daughter, Mrs. Laurence Laughorn of Waverly.
Mrs. Henry was born in Pike county August 24, 1881, the daughter of William and America Gibson Sutton. Her three children are Mrs. Laughorn, Waverly, Neal Henry of Modesto and Russell Henry of Zionsville, Ind. There are 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One brother, Louis Sutton of PIttsfield and sister, Mrs. Opal Ewers of Pleasant Hill, also survive.
The remains were taken to the Neece funeral home at Waverly.
The body will be taken to the family home in Pleasant Hill Wednesday afternoon.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Church of the Nazarene in Nebo.
