CLYDE REDDICKS
1944 - 2012
Clyde Junior Reddicks, age 67, of Soldier, Kentucky passed away Wednesday evening, February 8, 2012, at Baptist Northeast Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mr. Reddicks was born February 26, 1944, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Clyde Winton and Juanita Hamilton Boggs Reddicks.
Clyde was a retired employee with AK Steel in Ashland, Kentucky where he worked in the Coke Plant. He also was a United States Army Veteran and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandmother whom raised him, Mae Duncan Hamilton; two special aunts, Pauline Wheeler and Madge Spears.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Cathy Campbell Reddicks; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Francis Reddicks of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother, Donnie Boggs of Chesepeake, Ohio; three sisters, Wanda Hogan of Ashland, Kentucky, Bonnie Lucas of Rush, Kentucky and Mae Hammonds of Ashland, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Cortlynn McGlone of Grayson, Kentucky, Dustin Maggard of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Kristan Maggard of Grayson, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, MaKenzie Maggard and Bryson Maggard both of Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky with Brother Rudy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagle Hall Cemetery at Soldier, Kentucky. Military Rites will be conducted by the Elliott Co. VFW Post #11428 at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook, Kentucky and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Bryan Baird, Shane Baird, Dustin Maggard, Tracy Campbell, Steve Erwin, Bobby Evans and Cody Easterling will serve as pallbearers.
