George Haymaker Brunner was a coal miner, carpenter, and farmer born 4 Dec 1848 in New Texas, Plum Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
In 1870 at age 22 he lived in Irwin Borough, Westmoreland County, Pa.
On 17 Sep 1874 at age 25, he married Rachel R. Kerns. Together they had two children; Ottis Zachariah 1875-1944, Margarete A. 1877-1957. Their mother Rachel died in 1879. George married a second time 4 Jan 1883 to Sarah Rebecca Milligan. Together George and Sarah had four more children; John Milligan 1885-1965, Walter Milligan 1888-1980, Clara Belle 1892-1972, Sara Jane 1895-1986 as well as an infant son who died in 1894. After a three month illness George died 2 Jun 1927 at the age of 78 in his home in Millgrove, Sewickley Twp, Westmoreland County, Pa. He is buried at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pennsylvania.
