Mrs. John E. Bogan
Mrs. John E. Bogan, 1415 Conkling Avenue, Utica, died June 19, 1950, after a long illness. She was born in the Town of Paris, May 14, 1895, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Donahue Collins. She was graduated from Clayville High School, and the Oneonta Normal School. Mrs. Bogan taught school in the Town of Paris for about five years. She was married to John E. Bogan in Clayville, October 6, 1920. They made their home in the Town of Marshall, and in 1922, moved to Utica, where they have since lived. Mrs. Bogan was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica, and its Altar-Rosary Society.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Stewart E. Bogan, Waterville, and John R. Bogan, Utica; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Gates, Utica; a grandson, Mark Edward Bogan and a granddaughter, Kathleen Bogan; four brothers, Harry and Fred A. Collins, Frankfort; William Collins, Bridgewater, and Raymond Collins, Clayville. The funeral was held at 9 a.m. this morning from the home and at 9:30 from the Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica where a solemn high requiem Mass was celebrated. Interment was in the family plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville.
