Horace Elbert Baker, age 81, of Weatherford died on Monday, December 9 in the Peach Tree nursing facility. Mr. Baker was born in the Brock and Dennis area of Parker County on December 8, 1910. He attended school at the Hiner School and then finished his high school at Dennis High School in Dennis. He had served in the U.S. Arrny from 1942 until 1945 and was disabled. He lived for some time in New York where he was married for a number of years until his wife passed away. He moved back to Parker County 30 years ago. He had served as farm help during his years before retirement.
