Eric Anthony McGee was my 2nd Cousin.



Eric Anthony Tony McGee, 39, died Sunday, May 18, 2003, in North Richland Hills after a courageous battle with cancer. Tony as his family affectionately called him, was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Springtown Church of Christ with Bill Paxton officiating. Burial will be at Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Whites Funeral Home in Springtown.
Eric Anthony McGee was born on April 8, 1964, in Odessa to Virgil R. and Mary Ruth Apple McGee, both of whom are deceased. Tony served in the US Navy for eight years, and traveled to various places throughout the world. Following the events of September 11, 2001, Tony re-enlisted in the Navy reserves. He had hoped to serve his country once again, unfortunately his illness prevented him from doing so.
Tony was a 12-year employee with Xerox and a member of Springtown Church of Christ. Tony was a multi-champion Go-Kart racer in both Sprint and Road Racing. He was preceded in death by a brother, David McGee, and a nephew, Don Baugh.
Survivors include his loving wife of six years, Kim Pearson McGee of Boyd; daughters, Carrie Taylor McGee and Erin Mallory McGee; sisters,Teresa Baugh and husband, Sonny, of Odessa, Karan Rogers and husband, C.T., of Avery; father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Margie Boyles of North Richland Hills; two brother-in-laws, David Pearson and wife, Candice, of Boyd, Tony Pearson and wife, Shelley, of Paradise; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
