STARN. - At his home two miles south of Bryan, on Saturday, Nov. 14th, John Starn.
Mr. Starn was well known in this country as an exemplary Christian, and his sudden death will excite sorrow in the hearts of his many friends. He was in this office on the 11th of November, in good spirits and seemingly far from death. Mr. Starn was 70 years old. He was born in Wayne County, O., and has lived in this county during the last thirty-six years. He was the last survivor but one of a family of twelve children, the remaining one being his sister Mary Austraw. His other near relatives now living are a wife and four daughters. The funeral was held Monday forenoon at the brick church south of town, Rev. Tingle, of Defiance, officiating.

John Starn, farmer, residing about two miles southeast of Bryan, died on Saturday morning. He had been in ill health for a number of years but recently his health was much improved. On Thursday while husking corn he was taken ill and was helped to the house and a physician sent for. His condition was not regarded as a critical one, but during Friday night he failed rapidly and died just before daylight Saturday morning. He was a quiet, unassuming citizen, and a kind neighbor. He was about seventy years of age.
