The Springfield News-Leader, Springfield, Missouri, Saturday, March 31, 1956, Page 3, Col. 1: Oren J. Williams, 81-year-old prominent farmer and stockman of Route 1, Aurora, died yesterday morning at Mercy Infirmary, where he had been a patient two days. Mr. Williams was known throughout the state for his progressive farming and especially his success in hog raising. A member of the Marionville Methodist Church, he also served as a Democratic committeeman for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs. Georgie Goodman of Kansas City; a brother, Clever of Oakland, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. F. O. Stephenson of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Robert Telfer of Sacramento, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bradford-Surridge Chapel in Marionville. Burial will be in the Marionville Odd Fellows Cemetery.
