Gena was born in Ogden, Utah on Jan 17, 1937 the daughter of Virgil Warren Garner and Helen Briscoe Thompson. The family moved from Roy, Utah to Grace, Idaho where Gena went through her adolescent years. Gena married Wendell H. Glover in Grace Idaho on March 17, 1956. Wendell passed away November 1999. In July 1967 Wendell and Gena adopted a baby boy and named him Carl Michael Glover, whom the loved and cherished without question.
Gena was a very hard working woman that wouldn't say no to anything or anyone. Most of her life she held jobs in cleaning. Not only was her home always spotless, she worked hard cleaning various Hotels and Motels around town. Gena also held a position in housekeeping department of the Portneuf Hospital in Pocatello. In Gena's later years she took on child care starting with her own grandchildren Carson and Jade and eventually cared for many children.
Gena is survived by her son Carl, of Pocatello, two grandchildren, Carson Glover and Jade Glover, both of Pocatello, two brothers, Jim Welker and Bob Welker, both of Soda Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband Wendell, Mother and Father, Virgil and Helen, two sisters, Ruth and Deloris and two brothers, Virgil and Ray.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery, Lewiston Utah.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home.
