Cora Allen Finlay, 82, died Sunday at
her home in Hallsville.
She was born April 2, 1894, in Boone
County to Temple and Eliza Jane
Simms Allen. She was married to John
E. Finlay, Oct. 31, 1911. The couple
lived on a farm south of Sturgeon until
they moved to Hallsville three years
ago.
Mrs. Finlay was a member of the
Locust Grove Baptist Church south of
Ashland.
Survivors include her husband; two
sons, Burl Allen Finlay, 200 Thurman
St., and John William Finlay,
Centralia; a daughter, Doris Finlay,
Hallsville, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the
Rev. James Jones at 2 p.m. Wednesday
At the Fenton Funeral Chapel in
Sturgeon.
Burial will be at the Mt. Horeb
Cemetery, Sturgeon. Friends may call
After 2 p.m. today at the Fenton
Funeral Home, Sturgeon.
