Esther "Dot" Alice McLaughlin, 78, of Connellsville, formerly of Mount Braddock, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Dunbar, daughter of the late Jesse Frank and Alice Martin Overly. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Hilltop Church of Uniontown and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Bud" McLaughlin; two brothers; a sister; and a great-grandchild. Surviving are the following children, Clarence "Bud" McLaughlin of Uniontown, Paulette Hardy and her husband, Randy, of Mount Braddock, Robert McLaughlin and his wife, Colleen, of Uniontown, Jeff McLaughlin of Billings, Mont., and Dan McLaughlin and his wife, Cindy, of Connellsville; brothers and sisters, Jesse "Bud" Overly of Uniontown, Jean Kriger of Rochester, Herb Overly and his wife, Frannie, of Trafford, Jim Overly and his wife, Cindy, of Greensburg, Martha Hewitt and her husband, Phil, of Beaver Falls; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday in the Seventh Day Adventist Hilltop Church in Uniontown from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor David Klinedinst officiating. Interment will follow in Chalk Hill Lutheran Cemetery.
