Ella Mary Puckett, age 69, passed away September 15, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 16, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Benjamin Peter and Ella Irene Shingleton Pistorius. Married Ralph Marion Puckett April 24, 1946 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ella as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time "doing lunch" with her daughters. As an active member of the church, she spent the last 16 years working in the extraction program and has served in many other capacities in the ward. She graduated form South High in 1944. She will be dearly missed by her daughters and family.
Survived by daughters, Louise (Gordon) Beals, Debbie (Richard) Aupperle, Nora (Neil) Schwerdt, nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben (Beth) and Roy (Nancy), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19th, at 12 noon, at the Jordan View Ward, 1165 West 2320 South. Family and friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
