UNION - December 26 - Joseph LeRoy Roos, Union, died Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Denver Veteran's hospital after three months illness, according to word received by his family.

He was born September 27, 1895, in Shelton, Idaho, a son of Joseph Oscar and Minie Roseland Roos.

He was a veteran of World War I, he enlisted in the Navy December 15, 1917, in Salt Lake City and was discharged June 6, 1919, as an electrician, 3 class. He was an employee of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Company.

Mr. Roos was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He married Wanda L. Clement June 10, 1933, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, Boyd, Keith and William Roos; two daughters, VaLoye and Doris Roos, Union; his mother and step-father, E. J. Mitchell, Mountain Home, Duchesne county; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Frenette and Mrs. Lillian Gibbs, Salt Lake City; three half sisters, Mrs. Viola Bleazard and Miss May Mitchell, Mountain Home, Mrs. Eva Williams, Westwood, California, and a half brother, Reed Mitchell, Westwood.

UNION - December 27 - Funeral Services for Joseph LeRoy Roos, 52, Union, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Union First Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Burial will be in the Sandy City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Goff Mortuary, Midvale, Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday for an hour before the funeral at the place of services.
