Rites Held for Geno Anderson, 72
Corwith—Funeral services for Geno Anderson,
72, who died Wednesday morning at the Poole
Nursing Home in Mason City, were held Friday
afternoon at the Boughton Funeral Home in Britt
with the Rev. Dr. Wm. E. Butler officiating. Internment
was in the Corwith Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born July 2, 1883 at Forest City, Iowa,
a son to Simon and Lena Rolefson-Anderson. At the age of
four he moved with his parents to Corwith where he grew to
manhood.
Mr. Anderson was a tiler by trade. He never married. On
December 18, 1953, he suffered a stroke of apoplexy and had
been confined to the hospital and the nursing home since that time. He was a former member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are three brothers; Abel Anderson Hartley; Gilbert Anderson Address unknown; and LeVoy of Mason City; four sisters; Mrs. Mary Taylor, Britt; Mrs. Glen (Esther) Kimball, Mason City; Mrs. Julia Johnson and Mrs. Martin (Lena) Shaw, Minneapolis. Mrs. Maurice Peterson of Britt is a niece.
Two brothers and a sister proceeded him in death.
