A pioneer trail driver and Indian fighter in his early days, John M. Martin, 92, a resident of Borger for about ten years, died early yesterday morning.
Survivors are his four daughters, Mrs. T.W. Hawks, Borger, Mrs. J.L. Thomas of Colorado City, Tex., Mrs. J.A. Boyd, Germantown, Pa., and Mrs. M.H. Ross, Eastland, Texas; four sons, A.D. Martin, Coahoma, Tex., Seay Martin, Phoenix, Ariz., J.W. Martin and Conner Martin of Los Angeles; and 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body will be sent to Colorado City this afternoon by Blackburn-Shaw-Brown where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m.
