Alice E. Kaggie. Burley- Alice Enola Larson Kaggie, 83, Pinetop, Ariz., and former Burley resident died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, at the Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Ariz.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1913, in Burley, the daughter of Erick John and Florence Catherine Larson. She attended schools in Burley, where she graduated from Burley High School.
Following her graduation from high school she attended Albion State Normal College.
Alice married Leo E. Kaggie on Dec. 15, 1932, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1969.
During World War II, Alice and Leo moved to California where she worked as a cashier in a grocery business. She resided in California until four years ago when she moved to Arizona to be near her daughter.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in various positions throughout her life, including working as a temple worker in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Her greatest love was her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen K. Kuffer of Pinetop, Ariz.; two sons, Bruce John Kaggie and Lance Leo Kaggie, both of California; two sisters, Mrs. Isaac (Pearl) Lee of Burley, and Mrs. Don (Pauline) Coltrin of Boise; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at the Payne Memorial Chapel, 221 W. Main Street in Burley, with Bannie Kuffer, officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on Saturday.
