SUDDEN DEATH AT PHILLIPSBURG
On Tuesday, 28th inst., as John Springer, a citizen of Jefferson township, residing on the
head of the Buckhorn, was on his way to Phillipsburg he neared the town at the Stone
Creek Bridge and between that and the railroad crossing he was observed to fall and as he did not arise, promptly he was approached by a person residing near by and found to be dead. An inquest was held by Esq. Regula and upon examination by Dr. Dyer, it was pronunced that disease of the heart was the cause of death. The deceased was about 70 years of age, and had been an old resident of Jefferson Township,
