James Graham Roberts, was born August 15, 1924 to Redding Jasper and Pauline Fern Roberts, and was a native of Raleigh. He was married to his faithful and loving wife, Aline, in 1948.

Throughout James' life, he co-owned and operated Barnes Grocery, several service stations, R & B Used Cars and Charlie Brown's Transmission. He retired in 2010, and had two wonderful business partners, each for over 25 years.

He loved cars, going to the doughnut shop to sit with everyone, animals, especially our dogs, Brownie and Smokey, his daughter's blueberry muffins, Pepsi colas and good food. Above all, he loved his family and friends more than anything else on Earth. He will be truly missed.
