Newkirk Man Death Takes
Luther C. Green, 74, building contractor and resident of the Newkirk area since 1900, died Wednesday in Ponca City hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1886, and moved to the Newkirk area with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Green in 1900 from Scotland County, Mo. He was educated in Newkirk and the surrounding townships.
On Aug. 4, 1934 he was married to Grace Ethel Randol at Newkirk. He was a telephone employee during the earlier part of his life, but had spent most of his life as a building contractor. He was a member of the First Christian church.
He is survived by his wife of the home, two sons, Willard J. Green, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Raymond Green, Los Angeles, a brother, George Green, Los Angeles, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Allen, Newkirk; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services and commiment will be announced by Boatright-Weber Funeral Home, Newkirk.
