Funeral Notes

BICKEL; — Services for John C. Bickel, St. of 1237 Altgeld St., who died Friday in Rochester, Minn., of an apparent heart attack, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Richard C. Thistle, of the First United Methodist Church officiating. He had been assistant vice-president in charge of data processing at Associates Investment Co.

He was born Dec. 16, 1910 in Valparaiso, and came to South Bend 39 years ago.

On Nov. 16, 1935, in Crown Point, he married Anna Kauffman, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Donald L., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Camp, of Indianapolis; a brother, Walter, of Valparaiso; and four sisters, Mrs. Paul Alexander of West Lafayette, Mrs. Charles McMurtry of Valparaiso, Mrs. Earl Vanderbur and Mrs. Walter Gauck, both of Greensburg.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
