Joel married second Phebe Pratt, the daughter of Stephen Pratt 1749 and Phebe Merriam, on May 23, 1833.
All of the children were from the first wife: Eliza 1802, Almira 1804, Erastus 1806, Sarah Burnap 1809, Joel Wilkins 1811, Jotham Addison 1813, Lysander 1816, Lucy Ann 1818.
