Funeral services for Lillie King Chambers Walker, 86, were held Saturday, Dec. 1, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton, Va., by the Rev. William R. Kyle Jr. She died Nov. 25 at Sanders Nursing Home in Gloucester, Va. Mrs. Walker was born in Haywood County, Tenn., in 1915 to Dr. and Mrs. John Maim Chambers. She was a longtime Hampton resident where she was a member of First United Methodist Church, a teacher and librarian. After retirement, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Walter Reed Hospital and with Gloucester Public Library.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Buddy" William Walker, and is survived by two sons, Robert W. Walker Jr. and George Walker of Mathews; her niece, Carol Watts; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
