Dalton - Mrs. Rita Virginia O'Laughlin, 78, of 78 South St., died Monday afternoon at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 18, 1918, d/o Peter D. and Celina Touchette Archey, she attended schools there and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She had resided in Dalton since 1952.
Mrs. O'Laughlin was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 32 years, retiring in 1977 as a winder.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and enjoyed bowling.
She leaves her husband, John H. O'Laughlin, with whom she celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary Sept. 25, 1995; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn A. Weed of Fourt Lauderdale, Fla. and Mrs. Norine C. Allen of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two brothers, Edward E. Archey and the Rev. Eugene C. Archey, bot of Pittsfield, two sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Lefebvre of Pittsfield and Mrs. Irene Brond of Poughkeepsie, NY; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
