Phebe Speare is the daughter of William and Anna (Brackett) Speare of Quincy, Massachusetts. Phebe was born probably at Braintree, Massachusetts c1766 and died at Jonesboro 9 Sept 1839 ae. "63". Phebe married Anthony Schoppe on November 21, 1784 in Boston, Massachusetts and together they had 12 children. Their first child was born in 1785 in Massachusetts. The last 11 children were born at Jonesboro and recorded in the Town Records.

Phebe's age as listed on her headstone is incorrect as she wouldn't have been allowed to marry at age eight if she was born c1776.
