Robert Glen Davis, Jr. of Cedar City, Utah passed away February 3, 2012. He was born September 16, 1924 to Robert Glen Davis and Elva Tatten. After earning a Masters degree in Engineering, he received a Ph. D in Psychology. Robert received the "Giant of the City" Award and many speaking assignments at various colleges and elementary schools in his community.

He was a wonderful father, husband, and teacher. He loved to work with his hands and was a "Jack of all trades, master of none." He was always quick with a joke or his famous words of wisdom.

Robert served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Jr. Grade on March 25, 1956.

His religious service included his positions as a High Priest, a recommend holder, Long Beach City College Branch President, and a member of other bishoprics.

He is survived by his children Diane Davis Watkins (Gary) of Cedar City, UT; Keneth Glen Davis (Valdee) of Los Alamitos, CA; Charles Robert Davis (Peggy) of Ivins, UT; and Keisha Davis Covington (Mark) of Parowan, UT; his parents Robert Glen Davis and Elva Tatten of Orangeville, UT; brothers Kirby (Lyndsey) of Murray, UT; and Richard; sisters Shirley (Eldon Jorgenson) of Holladay, UT; and Carol Whisler (Ted) of Taylorsville, UT; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his dog Mandy Davis. He is preceded in death by his spouse Afton Jeannette Huff, brothers Vernon and Delroy, and sisters Muriel and Rosealie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar North Stake Center on Beacon Hill Drive. A viewing will take place prior from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Enoch City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
