RUTH VIOLA PARSONS ROWE

McLEANSBORO-- Ruth Viola Parsons Rowe, 51, of 410 E. Olive St., was pronounced dead at 7 a.m. Thursday March 14, 1962.
Death was the result of drowning.
Born in Williamson County May 26, 1911, she was the daughter of George E. and Mary Ada McNeill Parsons.
She married Carroll Rowe June 13, 1937 in Herrin.
She had lived in McLeansboro 15 years and had been an elementary teacher at the McLeansboro Consolidated School.
She leaves her husband; daughters, Mrs. Janis(Ronald) Watson of Norman, Okla., and Charlene at home; sisters, Mrs. Mildred(Cecil) Gilkey and Mrs. Dorothy(Andrew) Jackson of Bismark; brothers, Clarence and John Parsons, both of Chicago.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Donelson Funeral Home. The Rev Hugh Widick, pastor of the First Baptist Church of McLeansboro will officiate.
The body will be taken to the George VanNatta Funeral Home in Herrin for funeral services at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Ben R. Stripling will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
