MARTIN, LEWIS MADISON, 83, of Spring City, Tenn., died Sunday in a Dayton, Tenn., hospital. A native of Lynchburg, Va., he was a longtime agricultural, civic and community leader, and had owned and operated Martin Feed and Supply for 24 years. He was a former Farm Bureau agent for 10 years and was manager of the Rhea County Farmer Cooperative. Survivors include his wife, Neilson E. Miller Martin; two daughters, Sue Ann Walker and Sharon K. McDonald; son, James W. Martin, all of Spring City; sister, Margaret Trower, Spartanburg, S. C.; six grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lynn Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Spring City Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Vaughn Funeral Home, Spring City.
