Mr. Barrows, was one of the first settlers in the town of Dover, he came to town in the year 1820, and was born in Hebron, Me. He was an orderly sargeant, in the war of 1812---and marched a Company, into Portland.
Mr. Barrows was an honest upright man, he lived and died, in the full faith of the promises of God, to Abraham, that in his seed, shall all the families of the earth be blessed. His wife but a few years younger is still living with her faculties bright, and enjoying the same blessed faith."
