Nancy Alice Schuster, daughter of Caleb and Amanda Woodruff, was born on a farm near Ashton, MO, on April 4, 1862, and departed this life at her home, five miles southeast of Wyaconda, Missouri, on January 10, 1948, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and six days. On December 1, 1897, she was married to Frank A. Schuster and they moved to the farm near Woodville church where she has resided until her death.

To this union one son Raymond W. Schuster was born. She is survived by one brother, Mairon D. Woodruff of Paradise, CA, and two sisters, Mrs. Cassie Riggs and Grace Woodruff both of Kahoka, Missouri; her son Raymond W. Schuster and his wife, five grandchildren, namely, Roberta M. Rule of Keokuk,Iowa; Leland W. Schuster, Richard L. Schuster, Frank A. Schuster, and Gale E. Schuster, all of Wyaconda, MO; three great grandchildren, and a large number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends who mourn her departure. Her death will be felt especially hard by one niece, Miss Wilma Cottingham, who had made her home with her aunt and uncle ever since 1915.

Mrs. Schuster was the oldest one of 13 children, nine of whom preceded her in death, six brothers, namely, James Woodruff, John Woodruff, Caleb Woodruff, Andrew Woodruff, Robert Woodruff and Guy Woodruff; also three sisters, Mrs. Henry Hesse, Mrs. Etta Cottingham and Margaret Woodruff.
Nannie as she was known to all of her friends and neighbors, was an exceptionally good woman and her home life was one of devoted service. Early in her life she was converted under the preaching of the Rev. D. J. Jackson at the M.P. Church at Ashton, MO, where her membership was retained until her death.

She was an earnest church and Sunday school worker, attending church and Sunday school for many years at the Carmel M. P. church, where she took an active part in religious work. She has now passed to her reward.
Funeral services were held at the Woodville church at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 13th, Rev. C.T. Morrison officiating.
Singers were Carl V. Roach, A. L. Clough, Mrs. B.F. Hutchinson and Josephine Fry, with Marilyn Hesse at the piano.

Pallbearers were Walter Ahrens, Glen Woodruff, Albert Boerner, Eston Woodruff, Allen Woodruff and Carl Woodruff.
Interment in the New Woodville cemetery.
