Son of Joseph Plumb and Nancy Harvey. Brother of Sherman L. Plumb, Philo M. Plumb, Harriet M. Plumb, T. C. Plumb and Ralph P. Plumb. In 1880 he was a railroad engineer and lived with his mother and brothers.

Mark M. Plumb, 70 years old, died of a complication of diseases Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, at his home, five miles northwest of Emporia. He was unmarried and for many years lived with his brother, T. C. Plumb, who also is unmarried, on the farm northwest of Emporia. The funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at the home and will be conducted by Rev. J. C. Brogan, of the Grace Methodist Church. The interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
