William 'Billy' Couch was born on 7-11-1856 and died on 6-30-1914. He was the son of John C. "Moccasin" Couch and Rachel Combs. He met his future wife at a church meeting in Leslie Co. Billy married Alice 'Alcey' Napier cicra 1880. Alice lived in Leslie Co. on Bull Creek. She was the daughter of Rene Napier Jr. and Martha 'Patsey' Sizemore. Alice was born 3-23-1859 and died on 5-7-1917. Billy and Alcey lived on their farm at Brownsfork in Perry Co. Billy cut trees and floated them down the river to sell. Billy died of typhoid fever and Alice died three years later from a fall from her horse on Town Mt. They are buried in a family cemetery on Brownsfork in Perry Co. close to where they raised their family. Billy and Alcy are the parents of Nancy, Martha, Mitchell, Lucinda, Belle, Rene "Wootson", Mallie, Troy, Willie, Sarah and Amanda Couch.
