On February 1, 2012, Don Charles Fletcher, son of Charles and Bernice Fletcher, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with heart disease. He was 64 years old. A former U.S. Marine, he served in Viet Nam, often accompanying bodies of deceased soldiers home to their families. After his conversion as a Jew, Fletch, as he was known to his friends, made his home in Dallas, but recently, he had been caring for his mother in Mineola, Texas. Fletch was self-employed, and over the years he used his friendly personality to build a small advertising business, DCF Media, serving customers throughout Texas. He is survived by his mother Bernice, children Tony Fletcher of Dallas and Kim Deeble and grandson Brody Deeble of Aliso Viejo, California. A graveside service is at 2pm, Thursday, Feb 9 at DFW National Cemetery.
