Alfred Conoly "Al" Coleman, 93, of Pilot Point, TX passed away at Pilot Point Care Center Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

Alfred was born June 2, 1918 in Fort Worth, TX to Chesley Conoly and Lattie Kittrell Coleman. He served in the United States Air Force from 1942-1946 where he earned the Bronze Star; Good Conduct Medal; and Marksmanship Medal. Al had lived in the Pilot Point Community since 1937. . He married Vada Matlock in Wichita Falls, Texas on November 10, 1946. They owned and operated the Queen Theater and Dairy Best Drive In in Pilot Point. He served 23 years on the Pilot Point Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of the Pilot Point United Methodist Church; a member of the Ford Masonic Lodge # 270; was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason in Dallas, TX; and a member of Moslah Temple Shriners in Fort Worth, TX.

Services are scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Huff / Slay Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Point, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, February 09, 2012 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Huff / Slay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery located at 701 Grand Ave, Fort Worth, TX.

Al is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vada Coleman, of Pilot Point; one niece, Theresa M. Haile, of Windthorst, TX; nephews Carl Matlock Of Windthorst, TX; Noble Matlock of Graham, TX; J.D. Matlock of Cincinnati, OH; Charles Matlock, Windthorst, TX; Randy Harwell of Round Rock, TX; Richard Harwell, of Fort Worth, TX; , and sister-in-law Vera Matlock of Graham, TX. He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Orgie L. Matlock.

Funeral services are under the direction of Terri Slay and the staff at Huff / Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point, TX.
