Descendant of Gov. George Clinton, of New York.
Daughter of Col. Edward Bloodgood and Eugenia Genet, his wife.
Granddaughter of Henry James Genet and Martha E. Taylor, his wife.
Gr.-granddaughter of Edmond Charles Genet and Cornelia Tappan Clinton, his wife.
Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of George Clinton and Cornelia Tappan, his wife.
George Clinton, (1739-1812), was a delegate to the Continental Congress, 1776, and brigadier general of militia, 1777. He was the first governor of the state, 1777, and retained the office until 1795. He was born in Little Britain, N. Y.; died in Washington, D. C, where he is buried in the Congressional Cemetery.
