Mr. Thad Payne, 64 years old of Irvington, KY, died August 17, 1980 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, KY. He was a son of the late J.T. Payne and the late Mary Hallie Payne. He is survived by his wife Lillie Mae Payne of Irvington, six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Irvington; Mrs. Dorothy Johnston, Brandon, Florida; Mrs. Grace Bailey, Brandenburg; Mrs. Mildred Herman, Winter Haven, Florida; Mrs. Linda Zay and Mrs. Marilyn Borho, both of Louisville; two brothers Leo Payne of Rhodelia and J.E. Payne of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hylton, and Mrs. Mattie Barger both of Brandenburg; Mrs. Louise Greenwell, Rhodelia and Mrs. Nina Arnold of Payneville. Funeral services were held August 19, 1980 at 11 A.M. EDT from Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church and were conducted by Father William Donohoe. Burial was in Mt. Merino Cemetery directed by Alexander Funeral Home.
