Barbara was a faithful member of the First Christian Church where she was Treasurer for the last 15 years. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Cleo, step-father, Bill Adams and husbands, Joseph Burtnett and Robert Babcock.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Violet R. Adams of Deming; brother, David (Pug) and sister-in-law, Ann of Deming; daughters, Deborah Burtnett of the home, Pamela Amparano and her husband, Gilbert of Deming; sons, Keith Burtnett of Kentucky and Billy Burtnett and his wife, Erin of Albuquerque; niece, Robin Chrestman Cook and her husband, Cal and children, David Chrestman of Missouri; grandchildren, Evan, Micheal, Katherine, Blair, Joel, Bethany, Lauren, Haley, Sara, Isaiah, Elias, Hadassah and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Rylee Jo, Gavyn, Madison, Kamden, Brayden, Zander and Gage. Also her beloved dog, Chipper. Barbara was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Barbara lived life to its fullest and loved laughter. Her happiest moments were when she had her family gathered around her. Barbara will be missed by all. Visitation will be on Friday July 22, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Darrell L. Witmer, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Burtnett, Gilbert Amparano, Joel Pastran, Matthew Franco, Casey Safford and Jimmy Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be all the grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Support of Deming.
